Laurel's Bio

Laurel is a small-town farm girl who grew up in Nebraska and is a recent Colorado transplant. She and her husband, Adam, are the proud owners of a very energetic Weimaraner and a Thoroughbred. Laurel is an avid horse lover and has owned her own horse since she was 13. She loves the small town atmosphere and enjoys getting to know her patients on a personal level and incorporating all of their hobbies into their rehab. Whether it be golfing, horseback riding, sewing, or cooking she will make your therapy unique to you!

Laurel attended college at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa where she received her bachelor’s degree in exercise science. During that time, Laurel was a member of the track team where she was a national qualifier in the hurdles and long jump. She also was an aide to the athletic trainer and worked directly with the football team. Laurel received her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. She then worked in a small hospital before moving to the Monument area.

Laurel has a strong background in orthopedic and athletic injuries and has received continuing education in these areas. Laurel is always looking for new classes to take in order to improve her knowledge of all things PT related!

Laurel is a caring, energetic, and passionate physical therapist who takes an interest in her patient’s lives and puts her patients and their well-being first. She looks forward to getting to know all of Monument’s fabulous residents!
